Headed Home

For the last several months whenever Kaitlyn and Kristell are really tired, they usually say, "I just want to go home."  Well, the day has finally come.  Tonight, the Lord willing, we leave for Africa.

We depart JFK airport in New York City at 10:52 tonight.
We have a nine hour layover in Ghana, Africa tomorrow, then two more flights.  Eventually, we will land in Bloemfontein, South Africa on Thursday morning at 9:05.

We would really appreciate your prayer for this long journey!
  • Safety
  • For God's help with check-in, luggage, customs, and immigration.  (Our luggage allowance is definitely maxed out.  Please pray that nothing is overweight!)
  • For the nine hour layover in Ghana--safety, good health, protection against crime and corruption.  Also pray that Kaitlyn and Kristell won't get too bored!!
Finally, pray for us as we readjust to "home" in Lesotho.  There will definitely be some challenges--cleaning up after the fire at our house, re-adapting to culture, and adjusting to some new ministry roles.

Jeremy and Delani Howard have invited us to stay with them until we can get our house back in livable condition.  They live in South Africa just a few miles from the border of Lesotho.  We are really looking forward to being with them!

Thanks to each person who contributed to our successful deputation by praying for us, supporting us financially, hosting us in your homes, letting us share at your churches, and so many other ways!  We are blessed with MANY friends!!

Since our flight isn't until late tonight, we are looking forward to a little sightseeing in New York City today.
